We're back from our company retreat in Türkiye, the energy is high, and collaboration across the team has never been better. There's something about getting together in person — sharing meals, ideas, and padel sessions — that sparks the kind of thinking we bring back into our day-to-day work. And right now, that energy is fueling something new. One project I'm especially excited about? A brand-new Template Library we're building inside Buffer. This idea was sparked during Creator Camp, where one theme came up over and over: the hardest part of showing up on social is knowing what to post. So we're creating a space inside Buffer with prompts and templates to help you turn ideas into action — whether you're writing for LinkedIn, Threads, or anywhere else you show up online. It's still early days (we're in the internal testing stage!) but it's already looking promising. More on that in the coming weeks. |

The 9 Best AI Writing Tools in 2025 (and When to Use Them) |
AI writing tools have gone from novelty to necessity — but which ones actually help you write, and which just add to the chaos? We tested nine of the most popular AI tools so you don't have to. Here's what stood out: - Buffer's AI Assistant is a time-saver for creators — perfect for generating social content directly where you schedule it. It understands tone by platform and comes with no usage limits on any Buffer plan.
- Jasper is made for teams — packed with collaboration features like brand voice docs and campaign dashboards. A solid choice if your whole marketing team is onboard.
- Copy.ai thrives on workflows — it's less about writing a paragraph and more about automating a full writing process. Ideal for repetitive tasks across Sales and Marketing.
- Writer shines for editing and accuracy — with inclusive language suggestions, plagiarism checks, and enterprise-grade data security via its own AI model (not GPT).
- HubSpot Breeze is all-in-one AI — with "agents" for content, customer service, and CRM data. Great for ops-heavy teams looking to save time everywhere.
- Sudowrite is built for fiction — helping writers brainstorm, describe, and world-build. Think of it as your creative writing buddy with plot maps.
- Type.AI is the cleanest doc editor — blending smart paragraph suggestions with a simple interface and your choice of Claude or GPT. Minimalist, but powerful.
- SEOWind is your SEO secret weapon — it builds content briefs from live SERPs and competitor data. If you write to rank, it's worth a look.
- ChatGPT is still the best free option — great for outlines, quick rewrites, and idea generation if you know how to prompt it well.
What should you try first? - For content creators: Start with Buffer for posts and ChatGPT for brainstorming.
- For marketers: Jasper or Copy.ai offer the most robust pipelines.
- For editors: Writer keeps your grammar and guidelines in check.
- For novelists and creative pros: Sudowrite unlocks serious storytelling flow.
- For SEO and long-form: SEOWind helps you win the rankings war.
