This week's update is a fun one — we just rolled out a brand-new Template Library inside Buffer to our beta community, and I got to develop the very first batch of prompts that are now live! The inspiration was, of course, Creator Camp — our 30-day community challenge to help you most more consistently. One of the biggest blockers we heard from creators during the program was: "I want to post more, but I have no idea what to say." Not a lack of motivation — just a lack of direction. So we took that insight and ran with it. The result is a growing library of ready-to-go ideas designed to help you post with less friction and more ease. It's still early days — we're keeping it simple on purpose — but we're building toward something much bigger. Think: community-sourced templates, platform-specific prompt packs, and guided tracks to help you post consistently without burning out. If you don't have access yet, sit tight, we'll be expanding soon. Let's get into it. Have a great weekend and see you next Friday! |

How One Community Question Gave Me Weeks of Content |
Like many creators, I often treat content ideation as a solo process. I bookmark clever post formats, remix headlines I love, and draft ideas based on what I want to say. But a few weeks ago, I tried something different — I handed the mic to my audience. The result? A flood of deeply specific, thoughtful responses. And a full slate of content ideas I might never have come up with on my own. Here's what stood out: - The best ideas aren't in your head — they're in your comment section. Instead of asking "What should I post about?", I asked a targeted, open-ended question rooted in my content pillars:
"What's a challenge or question you've faced around personal branding or career growth that you'd love to see me unpack in a post?" - It wasn't a call for engagement — it was an invitation. People responded with real challenges: how to explain what they do, when to pivot, how to show up authentically at work and online.
- The replies became a creative flywheel. Each comment turned into something: a full reflection, a post framework, a fresh hook. One question gave me weeks of content — and even more trust with my audience.
- This format works because it's collaborative. I wasn't writing for my community — I was writing with them. It made the content feel more relevant, more personal, and more likely to resonate.
Want to try it? Start with one question rooted in your content themes. Listen for emotional weight and repeated patterns. Then create the post they asked for — and tag the person who inspired it. π§ Bonus tip: I keep a backlog of comment-sparked post ideas in Buffer, tagged by pillar and format. It's like a personal idea bank I can dip into whenever I'm stuck. |
