For years, the default move for educational creators like us was to record a course, launch it, and hope people finished it. I did this. A lot of us did. But completion rates are at historic lows, buyers are more skeptical, and the self-paced model is slowing down.

So what do we do now?

I’ve been embracing the idea that you need to disrupt yourself before you get disrupted. And AI is already disrupting course creators.

What’s working instead is a return to something more human.
